110 Year Anniversary Celebration/Reunion-July 2, 2011 All St. John alums and friends are invited to a special reunion/celebration on Saturday, July 2. 2011. The celebration will begin with a special Mass at 4:30 p.m.  Priest-sons of the parish will be present to con-celebrate the Mass. After Mass, food, refreshments and entertainment will be featured right in front of school under three giant tents. The Alumni Tunnel will be open and the Panel Room will allow a walk down memory lane featuring hundreds of school photos and movies/videos of school life. The celebration is a great opportunity to reconnect with old friends and reminisce about the good old days at SJS!   The famous gourmet caterer, Phillippe, will be roasting a pig and offering pulled pork dinners for $10.00, hot dog and hamburger dinners will also be offered for $5.00. A cash bar will be available.  Dinner tickets will be offered after the Sunday Masses in June or may be ordered by calling the Panel Room at 219-659-3041 or online at foreverblueandgold@gmail.com    To help cover the costs of the celebration and to assist Forever Blue and Gold in its support of St. John School, the organization is seeking financial backers. Those making a donation will be recognized on a colorful banner during the celebration. Support categories include: $1.00-$99.00 Supporter, $100.00-$499.00 Blue Supporter, $500.00-$999.00 Gold Supporter, $1,000.00 and above, Father Kalicky Supporter. (All donations are tax deductable.) Donation checks should be made out to Forever Blue and Gold and sent to St. John School at 1844 Lincoln Ave., Whiting, Indiana 46394.   Finally, mark your calendar, tell a friend, and plan on joining other St. John Alums and Friends at the 110th Anniversary/Reunion on July 2, 2011. To assure the legacy of Saint John the Baptist Catholic School lives forever and forever.

Forever Blue and Gold's Goals

Several goals have been identified.  They include:
• Locating approximately 5200 Saint John Graduates

(the present database contains approximately 1,200 names with 400 addresses)
• To continue family spirit and enhance community building (several events are being discussed to bring graduates and their families together)
• To preserve and enhance our heritage
• To renew friendships
• To enrich the Saint John the Baptist Family
