In Memoriam
Remembering Our Parish Family
|
 |
Welcome to the St. John the Baptist Parish In Memoriam section. These memorial
pages have been established as a way to remember many St. John the Baptist parishioners
who have passed on, leaving a legacy of good works and treasured memories that
have become part of the history of our parish family.
In Memoriam contains not only many loving and prayerful remembrances of our passed
parishioners, but also reflects the threads of our parish family as it has lived
and grown over the years since St. John the Baptist was established in 1898. These
pages are a tribute to the many parishioners that have given freely of themselves
over the years to make St. John the Baptist parish a strong and vibrant part of
the Whiting/Robertsdale community.
The photo at left is from the many beautiful stained glass windows at St. John's.
In specific, this image is from the series of the Stations of the Cross in the
back portion of the church.

In Memoriam Archive
How can you establish a memorial for a loved one?
Whether or not a loved one has recently passed on or passed on a number of years
ago, you can provide us with information for an In Memoriam memorial.
We will need the following information:
- Parishioner's Name
- Birth date
- Date of Passing
- No more than two hundred words of copy
- And a photo
The photo of the memorialized parishioner (sample at right) will rotate throughout
website in the In Memoriam space for parishioners to see as they navigate the
site. The photo is clickable and will take website visitors directly to the passed
parishioner's In Memoriam page. All memorials will be archived to provide our
parish community and website visitors with an on-going list of parishioners whose
lives have had such a wonderful impact on St. John the Baptist over the years.
Please submit your request and information to webmaster@sjbcatholicparish.org or place the information in an envelope, which can be left at the rectory to
the attention of sjbcatholicparish.org. In order to help the parish establish and maintain the In Memoriam section
of the website, we request a single $25.00 donation to create the memorial. Please
make donations by check to "St. John the Baptist Church."
